A brief introduction to who we are, although you'll rarely see us dress this fancy!
Jeff originally trained as a structural engineer, working on some major infrastructure throughout the UK but was requested to use his knowledge in the events profession whereby the call was too much. He used his varied background in highway works, building structures, temporary structures for outdoor events and event safety planning, his expertise includes the provision of H&S advice where one-off and unique large scale events are being considered and a reputation as a calming influence on event sites. His growing involvement in Leisure and Construction Safety lead to Jeff joining the Health and Safety Department at the end of 1998 undertaking the role of Planning Supervisor under the CDM Regulations before moving on to specialise in event site design, inspection and certification of temporary structures, event site risk assessments and safety advisory services to the event industry.
Lizzi undertook a degree in Events Management at what is now Leeds Beckett University. Throughout her time there she worked on varied events including a year in industry at the Museum of London working on events in their fundraising department. After graduating from university Lizzi freelanced whilst undertaking another educational vocation and got the opportunity to work at Capita. Lizzi spent many years here taking the opportunity develop her career by wealth of knowledge surrounding her until transferring in the Capita Health and Safety department auditing various companies before moving onto JP Event Safety.
Emma started her career with a PR degree, after which found her way into the Events Industry following an industry year working for Morrison’s supermarkets Press Office. Here she spent some time working on their press events and co-ordinated the sponsorship activations of the Leeds 10k. After graduating, she was offered a job at Jane Tomlinson's Run for All where she worked as an Event Assistant, working her way up to Head of Venue and Productions. Throughout this time, she developed a keen interest in Health and Safety. Emma joined JP Event Safety in January 2017.
Daniel graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Event Management with Arts & Entertainment. After graduating, Dan worked in the Public Sector for the NHS before spending 8 years working on a variety of UK and International festivals including Beacons Music & Arts Festival, Parklife, Latitude, Leeds, Festival No. 6, Snowbombing and others. Dan has worked as an Event Safety Advisor for projects such as Elrow, UK Festival Awards, TPI, World Island and Eroica Britannia amongst others. Dan joined JP Event Safety as an Event Safety Consultant in February 2019.
The core team work with a number of carefully selected and trusted freelancers. All of our freelance staff work in the industry when not with JP Event Safety , and have many years of prior experience in Events
